Getting to Fiji

Visa Requirements

A four month visa is granted automatically on arrival to visitors from most countries, you can check the list here. All you need is a valid passport for at least 6 months beyond your stay. Passport holders of countries not on the automatic visa entry list will need to apply for a visa at their nearest Fiji High Commission or Embassy. Visa applications can also be lodged by fax or post to the Visa Processing Officer. For more information click here

Getting to Matamanoa

Located approximately 30km (19 miles) west of Nadi International Airport, Matamanoa Island can be reached by high-speed catamaran or speedboat (fixed schedule or private). Our Reservations Team can assist you with all your transfer needs

South Sea Cruises provide fast, stable catamaran transfers from Port Denarau Marina to Matamanoa Island Resort daily and cost FJ$195 per adult, each way (valid until 31 March 2026)

The South Sea Cruises tranfer from Port Denarau Marina to Matamanoa Island Resort departs at 12:00pm and arrives at 1:15pm.

The return transfer from Matamanoa Island Resort to Port Denarau departs at 1:15pm, arriving at Port Denarau at 3:pm.

South Sea Cat’s new premium service offers an additional earlier departure from Matamanoa Island Resort, departing at 9:45am and returning to Port Denarau at 11:30am, which costs FJ$235 per adult, one way and includes complimentary bottled water and soft drinks en route:

Direct Speedboat Transfers & Water Taxis

Purple Turtle Fiji offer the only direct scheduled services between Port Denarau & Matamanoa Island Resort, twice daily. The 75 minute scenic journey departs Port Denarau Marina at 08:15 and 14:45 (with return departure times 09:45 and 16:15). FJ$245 per person, one way fully inclusive of Nadi airport/Nadi hotel ground transfers and complimentary water.

For flights that do not meet Purple Turtle Fiji’s scheduled services, they offer private flexible timed water transfers (with the latest flight arrival being 16:00). Prices start from FJ$1,160 one way (1-6 people) inclusive of complimentary ground transfers between Nadi airport/hotels and Denarau Marina.

South Sea Cruises provides fast, stable catamaran transfers from Port Denarau Marina to Matamanoa Island Resort twice daily.

South Sea Cruises operates a daily afternoon service aboard its comfortable high-speed catamaran with air-conditioned lounges and open-air viewing decks. One-way transfers are priced at FJ$195 per adult.

South Sea Cat’s new premium service offers an additional early morning departure from Port Denarau and Matamanoa Island Resort aboard smaller and faster catamarans. One-way transfers are priced at FJ$235 per adult, and includes complimentary bottled water and soft drinks enroute:
